The 16th Annual “Artful Weekend” Art Show and Sale is coming again to the beautiful and historic Hendry House at Ft. C.F. Smith Park in Arlington. A popular pre-holiday event in Northern Virginia, the art on display is created by 40 top Arlington-based artists. Featured are paintings of many genres, ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, artist’s cards, unframed works and more. Great for holiday shopping!

An Opening Reception will be held on Friday, November 16 from 6-8pm—come meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments at the Hendry House. The show will also be open 10am-5pm Saturday, November 17 and 12 noon-4pm on Sunday, November 18.

Gallery Clarendon is officially open!

The  official Opening for the Alliance’s Gallery Clarendon was held on Saturday September 15, 2018, attended by nearly 700 art lovers. This newest professional art gallery created by the Arlington Artists Alliance brings a fresh exhibit every month featuring work by Alliance members. Gallery Underground in Crystal City is the Alliance’s other exhibition space.

Recently opening its doors in the former Fuego restaurant corner at Clarendon Blvd. and Fillmore St. in the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington, Virginia, this popup art space showcases local artists, offers classes, hosts events and manages on-site professional artist studios. The group’s other show space is Gallery Underground within Art Underground in Arlington’s Crystal City area.

Signs Of the Times—National Juried Exhibition

JANUARY 5 – 31, 2019

Gallery Clarendon in Arlington, VA seeks entries for a national juried art exhibition January 5 – 31, 2019. $500 in cash prizes awarded. For this exhibition artists working in all media are called to submit works that interpret and express signs of the times – real or imagined, literal or figurative, positive or negative; art that addresses, questions, protests, or celebrates our changing world. Submissions can range from traditional to conceptual, both 2-d and 3-d work.

“It’s a Steal” is a springtime deal and your chance to view and choose artwork for home, office, or gift-giving. Participating artists show work in many media and formats: original paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolors, drawings, mixed media works, and pottery, all priced at $95 or less.

ARTRAGEOUS SILENT ART AUCTION

Our annual Artrageous Silent Art Auction is held annually (2018/19 date TBD). Featured are framed original paintings, jewelry, ceramics, and sculpture created and donated by our Arlington-based artist members.
