“RISK”—National Juried Exhibition at Gallery Underground

May 1-24, 2019

Gallery Underground in Arlington, VA seeks entries for a national juried art exhibition May 1-24, 2019.

Fortune favors the bold – an ancient expression, and one that especially applies to artists. Gallery Underground invites artists working in all media to submit works depicting or representing risk. These can take the form of either literal depictions of taking risks, or more figurative demonstrations of the artist’s personal risk-taking in their subject matter, medium or technique. For this exhibition, artists are encouraged to submit a paragraph explaining how their submitted works represent the theme; these paragraphs will be displayed next to each accepted piece. Submissions can range from traditional to conceptual, both 2-d and 3-d work.

$500 in cash prizes awarded.

Deadline to enter is 12pm Friday March 22, 2019 | Juried by Sandy Maudlin
