You can benefit from a stock donation or donation from a Donor Advised fund to help our artists. Donating stock directly to the Alliance provides the following benefits:

By donating the stock held for more than one year rather than selling it, you avoid paying capital gains taxes on its appreciated value.

You can also claim a tax deduction for the fair market value of donated stock.
Practically speaking, donating stock could also simply be more convenient than giving cash for you. You might appreciate the ability to give to us while rebalancing or restructuring your investment portfolios.
