The combination of clay, water and fire creates infinite possibilities. The choice to work with clay is a choice to search.

Through simple traditional forms I strive to make vessels that are pleasant to use and enjoyable to look at. I am fascinated by and enjoy traditional oriental lazes; oxblood, tenmoku and celadon.

All vases, platters and bowls are turned on a wheel. Often they are altered or decorated with free hand designs and carvings. They are fired to approximately 2300 degrees F.
