My art process functions as an embodiment practice and way to explore my relationship to my immediate experience. The wisdom of my body guides and informs this intuitive process.  The works are created through an intentional practice and dialogue between my internal, felt experience, the materials and the emerging images.  

Using sensation as a place of departure, I make resonate marks or movements and follow the shifting energies. All internal experiences are okay and welcomed, held, and given a voice that becomes inextricably woven into the narrative that unfolds. Through this process I experience a sense of greater wholeness within myself, the joy of discovery, and new perspective.  

These works exemplify how art images and process both mirrors and drives the natural internal impulse towards growth. The images stand on their own as art objects and evidence of the change and as integral part to the process. They can be understood in symbolic terms of my life and as allies that help me to stay connected to a forward moving energy.  

Though deeply personal, these works convey archetypal, or mythic images and themes. Because of our fundamental interconnectedness, the images may strike a chord of resonance for the viewer. My hope is that the images meet others in a way that helps them to feel seen, or that they may touch some inner knowing that brings transformation for them.
