From a lifelong love of nature, a curiosity about human emotion and behavior, and a sense of a larger universe at work I draw inspiration for my work. Not too surprising from someone who has worked professionally in human development and behavior. I try to capture the human response to the subject I am painting. The phrase narrative art describes many of my works. I ask what is the meaning here? What is the story here? Social and environmental justice have been themes. Beauty and awe often come through. And sometimes whimsy.
