Mary Bird trained at the Art Students League of San Juan (Puerto Rico) and the Corcoran. She has been an Arlington resident for 13 years and works full-time as in-house council for a non-profit accrediting agency. She is a member of the American Art League, the Capitol Hill Art League, and the Roving Artists, as well as the Arlington Artists’ Alliance. Mary’s main work is inspired by geology on earth and in space. For whimsy she enjoys painting still lifes that display the favorite things of the person whose birthday, anniversary, or accomplishment is being commemorated.
Mary accepts commissions for commemorative paintings in this stype incorporating treasured objects from the life of the person being celebrated. |
