My name is Gail Benkert. I have a BA in Fine Arts from Geneseo State University College, Geneseo New York. I have been painting watercolor paintings for over 20 years. My main interest in painting is color. I love the bright outdoors and paint a lot of scenes from nature. But on cold winter days, I like painting a colorful still life too. I have background work experience with graphic arts and so my paintings tend towards a graphic style. I have exhibited my paintings in numerous juried art shows and have won several awards. I have painted numerous commissioned paintings on a variety of subjects-houses, pets, and boats. My work can be seen in select galleries in Virginia.
