Fran Bell Simms works primarily in watercolor. Her favorite subjects are landscapes, children at play, and feet and shoes which tell stories about their owners. Her work reflects her fascination with the interplay of light and shadow. Ms. Simms does commissions of old family residences and children at play. She is especially skilled at capturing childlike features and movement.
