Having been involved with art and artistic expression from an early age, Deborah grew up with an appreciation of art through craft, ceramics and finally through the traditional medium of painting in oil. Her most recent focus has been on plein air painting in Virginia, West Virginia and Washington DC with the goal of combining a realistic image with feelings and impressions of the scene. The still life continues to be a source of fascination as well as a guide in looking at the world intently.
